We are deeply grateful for your love, support, and the role you’ve played in our lives. As we begin this new chapter together, we carry your encouragement with us. Thank you for being part of our story & celebrating with us. — Mady & Charlie
Charlie and Mady’s story began in sixth grade, where a simple introduction turned into an instant friendship. What started as classmates quickly became something more meaningful as they grew up side by side. In high school, their bond deepened into a true best friendship. They shared classes, routines, and countless miles traveling together to and from their senior-year internship, building a connection rooted in trust, consistency, and understanding.
Their lives also mirrored each other on the field. Both Charlie and Mady were pitchers—the kind of athletes who carried responsibility with quiet confidence. Charlie on the baseball mound and Mady in the softball circle, each learned discipline, resilience, and how to show up for their teams. Those same qualities would later shape how they showed up for each other.
Life took them in different directions after high school graduation, but the foundation they built never left. In the summer of 2022, they reunited, picking up right where they left off. Charlie stayed with Mady, sleeping on her couch and simply being present—supporting her not as anything more, but exactly as he always had been: her best friend.
Through late-night conversations, shared routines, and familiar laughter, something quietly shifted. On New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021, their story turned a page. What had been years of friendship became something deeper, and they officially began their relationship—built not on chance, but on a foundation already years in the making.
They continued to grow together, and in February 2025, they moved into their first home, creating a shared space filled with the same comfort and steadiness that had always defined their connection.
Just a few months later, in June of 2025, Charlie planned a moment that reflected everything they loved. On the field at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, surrounded by family and friends, he surprised Mady with a proposal she would never forget. On a field that symbolized so much of who they had been, he asked her to spend forever with him.
From sixth-grade friends to lifelong partners, Charlie and Mady’s story has always been rooted in friendship first—a steady, faithful kind of love that grew over time and never let go.
